Sixty-five meters long and 21 meters in height – these are the figures describing the spectacular entrance to the Wasserlochklamm tour. Once you have crossed the suspension bridge and taken a final, deep breath, the ascent finally begins. The wooden trail, built of solid timber by the Distract of Palfau between 1986 and 1992, will guide you safely to the top.

The trail winds its way upwards past five spectacular waterfalls with a total drop height of 152 meters and a number of wooden bridges crossing the canyons. At the top of the gorge — the two-tier Schleierfall — the water plunges a dazzling 67 meters into the abyss. Posters inside the wooden shelter inform visitors about the Bat Divers’ adventurous scuba diving research expeditions at the waterhole.

Once you have overcome the last obstacles, you will be rewarded with the stunning sight of the spring cave and an amazing view across the Salza Valley from the vantage point built in 2008.
